Running
(6.50 Miles / 01:02:12 /00:09:34 per mile/ HR Zone 3 )
Another step on the road to getting some degree of fitness back again and it went pretty well.
The snow is still pretty thick up round the house so I jumped in the car and parked a mile down the road and ran from there.
It is amazing that there can be such a difference in snow conditions in the space of a mile. It must be the extra bit of elevation at our house that makes the difference.
Anyway, the run went well and each mile was within a few seconds of the last one in terms of pacing which is encouraging.
I did have to run on the road at times as there are still some isolated patches of snow on pavements which make it a bit dodgy underfoot but no incidents to report thankfully.
Next stop is a run in Donegal while we are up over the Easter break. I need to do a long one so hopefully the weather will be kind to me - as it always is in Donegal. NOT!!
