This was a very significant week with the Half Iron distance race being a significant milestone this week. Thankfully it all went really well and I feel like this is a vindication of the training done so far.
I think the key learning points were:- Keep things steady on the bike and leave plenty in the tank for the run
- Be structured and organised but swift in transition
- On the run keep things easy paced and eat and drink little and often
- Smile for the camera as you cross the line
